It’s true….we are back in action around the office here following some brief personal leave traveling.  I will save a later blog post regarding Vince’s EPIC trip, which, fingers crossed will get a blog post this year…haha.  In the meantime all I will say for now, is though I didn’t take a ton of personal photos during the trip I could not pass up the opportunity to wake up early one morning to grab this photo.  Not seen is one of my best friends in life (probably warming her hands on the heaters in the car) Britt N.  Can’t thank her enough for sharing this trip with me!!

Just thought I would share a bit about what we have been up to today. Gotta love technology :) climbing, camping, and of course my favorite middle of nowhere diner!

Birthday Excursion

May 4, 2009

We are headed up to New Hampshire this morning for a little birthday celebration.  Nice and low key, just Vince and myself doing a little climbing, slacklining and camping for the night.  I am purposefully not taking my camera in an effort to completely rest my mind from its endless desire to photograph, but I am already having withdrawals!  No doubt I will be all over the iPhone camera for the day….

Revere Beach, MA Personal Work

Something I have recently been playing with is taking more photos with my iPhone…why you may ask? Well it was partially sparked by Chase…as in Chase Jarvis…”The” Chase Jarvis. For those that don’t know of him he is a commercial photographer out of Seattle that has been growing in social (and professional) popularity over the past year or so and is always preaching creativity and pushing your craft. Creating unique imagery as paramount. Anyways, he began talking about how differently you view the world or approach photography depending upon which medium you are working with. So, why a camera phone!? It is always on you! It can quickly become your most used camera on a day to day basis, and hence why not use it to learn a little about yourself and challenge yourself to take photos with a very basic camera. I am hoping to build a little side/personal project out of this and of course would love for everyone to join in! The easiest way at this point, since most wedding professionals have the iPhone is to tweet/tweetpic your photos with the tag #iphonechallenge. I have done a couple so far so just search in whatever Twitter program you use for #iphonechallenge to view them. I will also be posting a few here since I can update on the go with our new WordPress blog.

First up are a couple more abstract/color photos. All photos are straight from the iPhone.
