Thanks you two for spending part of your memorial weekend with us around Cambridge!  These two were so natural and comfortable in front of the camera.  I think the first picture says it all, but they still get alone despite being on different “sides” of the coffee company “battle” !.   Hope you enjoy these teasers from your session.

At the airport heading out to wonderful Fort Collins, Colorado for the kickoff of our wedding season! Super excited, and I will spill exactly what makes this wedding really special for me as soon as I have real Internet access and not blogging from my phone :)

Nathan and Jill brought their own boxing gear to the gym in Stoneham for the starting location to their photo session! How fun is that!…. challenging yes…but hopefully they had as much fun as we did working up a sweat in the ring.  We later headed around the area for some additional photos and ended up shooting into dark.

We had a blast with Anthony and Rose who stuck out the cold and wind with us right till the end.  Thanks for spending so much time hanging out despite the fear of missing some of game 7 of the Celtics!  You guys were great.  More images from this fun session coming really soon!!

Art Project

May 15, 2009

Art House Co-op

I just thought this was a wonderful, creative and unique project that I would share with everyone titled “A million little pictures“.  It is put together by ART HOUSE which is an artist co-op in Atlanta.  Their self proclaimed goal is to “create massive, nationwide art projects that tie hundreds of artists together”.  I am definietly looking into participating, and encourage some East Coast participation!  On a side note, this also seems to be a possibly very lucrative project to raise funds for the organization, and wonder how something like this could be pulled together in our own community of wedding photographers…hmmmm :)   Thanks to Todd Walker and his blog Gallery Hopper for the heads up.

Just thought I would share a bit about what we have been up to today. Gotta love technology :) climbing, camping, and of course my favorite middle of nowhere diner!

Birthday Excursion

May 4, 2009

We are headed up to New Hampshire this morning for a little birthday celebration.  Nice and low key, just Vince and myself doing a little climbing, slacklining and camping for the night.  I am purposefully not taking my camera in an effort to completely rest my mind from its endless desire to photograph, but I am already having withdrawals!  No doubt I will be all over the iPhone camera for the day….

Revere Beach, MA Personal Work

Something I have recently been playing with is taking more photos with my iPhone…why you may ask? Well it was partially sparked by Chase…as in Chase Jarvis…”The” Chase Jarvis. For those that don’t know of him he is a commercial photographer out of Seattle that has been growing in social (and professional) popularity over the past year or so and is always preaching creativity and pushing your craft. Creating unique imagery as paramount. Anyways, he began talking about how differently you view the world or approach photography depending upon which medium you are working with. So, why a camera phone!? It is always on you! It can quickly become your most used camera on a day to day basis, and hence why not use it to learn a little about yourself and challenge yourself to take photos with a very basic camera. I am hoping to build a little side/personal project out of this and of course would love for everyone to join in! The easiest way at this point, since most wedding professionals have the iPhone is to tweet/tweetpic your photos with the tag #iphonechallenge. I have done a couple so far so just search in whatever Twitter program you use for #iphonechallenge to view them. I will also be posting a few here since I can update on the go with our new WordPress blog.

First up are a couple more abstract/color photos. All photos are straight from the iPhone.
